Japanese and European Patents Awarded to Mirari Biosciences for MASC™ Technology

Mirari Biosciences, Inc. has received notification of the allowance of patents from Japan and Europe for inventions relating to Mirari's Microwave-Accelerated Surface Chemistry (MASC™) technology.

Rockville, MD, January 24, 2012 – Mirari Biosciences, an innovator in the use of microwaves in biomedical testing, is happy to announce the addition of Japanese and European patents to its growing corporate intellectual property portfolio.

Through the discovery and development of its MASC™ technology, Mirari is pioneering the use of low power microwaves to significantly accelerate and enhance biomolecular testing. MASC™ technology has exciting potential in numerous areas including clinical diagnostics, point–of–care and home consumer testing, biodefense testing, agricultural and food safety testing, and veterinary medicine.

Mirari has aggressively patented MASC™ and related cutting edge technologies in the United States and around the world. Mirari's broad patent portfolio now includes seven patents with numerous patent applications pending in the United States and abroad.
