Mirari owns a broad and strong portfolio of issued and pending U.S. and foreign patents that comprehensively covers the Company's three technologies: Microwave-Accelerated Surface Chemistry^TM (MASC^TM), Microwave Fluidics^TM, and Direct Protein Amplification (Peplica^TM). All three are unique, pioneering, platform technologies that address large and important biomedical markets.

Mark T. Martin, Ph.D. is the company's founder, President and CEO. He is the inventor of MASC^TM, Microwave Fluidics^TM, and Peplica^TM technologies.

Dr. Martin is a native of Rochester, Minnesota and received his professional training at the University of North Dakota, Harvard Medical School, and Oxford University. Prior to founding Mirari, he was Principal Scientist and Director of the Discovery Research Group at IGEN International, Inc. and Vice President of Research and Technology Development at TheraMed, Inc. Dr. Martin has extensive experience as a scientist, inventor, and entrepreneur. He has published numerous articles in scientific journals and books and has lectured internationally in diverse fields of science and technology including protein chemistry, enzyme kinetics, nanotechnology, inorganic and organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, biophysics, and molecular biology. He has been awarded over 100 issued patents worldwide with many more pending. Dr. Martin also co–founded Imprint Medicine, Inc., a pharmaceutical biotechnology company dedicated to the development of nanoscale polymeric drugs and vaccines.
